The GMC Terrain has been continuously making profits for the company so GMC has decided to make some changes and we all are going to see a refresh 2016 model. The underlying formula is going to be same but it will be available in some significant trim changes.
2016 GMC Terrain – Exterior and Interior Design
The 2016 GMC Terrain is going to be available in 4 trim levels i.e. SL, SLE, SLT and Denali. All the trims are going to have a detailed front fascia, chrome outlining, C-shape designing and chrome accents on the grille. More changes include the signature LEDs and power dome at the hood. For the Denali trim, 19 inch alloy wheels will be provided whereas the rest of the trims will get 18 inch wheels. The color options include white Frost Tricoat and Crimson Red Tintcoat. That were the exterior updates, now let’s move to the interior updates. The center console has been revised but each trim level will have its own touchups. For SL and SLE, premium seat cloth will be used. Leather will be used for SLT and it is going to be the 8-passenger model. For Denali, there are possibilities that two tone dual material with light titanium or the jet black interior will be provided. That being said, Denali will have high-tech, high quality material and probably distinguish design changes. This trim level is available in dual flow dampers. The exclusive features such as blind spot monitoring system, rear cross traffic alert, and power passenger seats which were previously seen in Denali will be available for SLT too. Terrain will be available in 4G LTE and will it function like a wireless hot spot where up to 7 devices can attached. The 2016 GMC Terrain is surely a 5-seats but it is fairly big in its size. Some people might think that as there is no 3rd row, it will not be a useful vehicle for the family shoppers but this car is going to be extremely comfortable and it can adjust 4 adults easily. You can slide the rear seat and it can provide space up to 8 inches for fitting your cargo. You might not find the cargo floor much classic and another problem is that the seats don’t become completely flat when folded. However, you can store sensitive items like the armrest can hold your laptop and there is a center stack set there too under the controls.
2016 GMC Terrain – Engine and Performance
The 2016 GMC Terrain engine will come in two options. The first option is the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder that can produce up to 182 horsepower. The second option is the 3.6 liter V6 engine that can produce 301 horsepower. The second option is termed to be best in class and the most powerful engine ever offered for SUV. Terrain will be available in both front wheel and all-wheel drive.
