Two types of transmissions are available with the vehicle, a 6 speed manual transmission and a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The HRV has a power assisted Vantiled braking system, front discs of 11.5 inches and back with 11 inches. The two wheel drive version with manual transmission provides 25 mpg in city and 34 mpg on highway and with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) it provides 28 mpg in city and 35 mpg on highway. The all wheel drive version with CVT provides 27 mpg in city and 32 mpg on highway. The EX-L Navi is only available in automatic transmission.
