2017 Audi Q7 e-tron TDI

The 2017 Audi Q7 e-tron TDI is a new plug-in hybrid system from the VW group, which will be a redeemer for Audi’s current engine condition. This Q7 will represent the second generation, which the engineers were working on since 2009. It is expected to have a new chassis that will also be present in models of Bentley, VW, and Porsche. This model was revealed in Geneva Motor Show that was held in 2015. This car will be the world’s first plug-in hybrid model with a six-cylinder diesel motor unit along with a four-wheel drive option. Audi is hoping that this new release will surpass the sales mark of the previous model which was 500,000 units all over the world.

The exterior styling of this car will be boosted as it marks the beginning of the second generation. The styling feature of this model will be borrowed from A4 with the addition of more chrome accents and sharp sidelines that adorn this body. This new design has given the SUV a smaller outlook but still retain its traditional aggressive stance.

2017 Audi Q7 e-tron TDI will be molded with new MLB architecture that will reduce the overall weight by 700 pounds. The basic amenities it will carry a large square fender, LED headlight, newly designed grille, LED tail light, chrome skid plates, silver lines on the lower panel, 20-inch aluminum wheels, etc.

The interior portion of 2017 Audi Q7 e-tron TDI will be well equipped modern amenities that are eminent in other premium Audi models. The seats will get modern leather materials along with different modes for massaging.

The dashboard will carry a combination of wood and metal finish, which will give it a fluidic touch. It will bring many tech features and equipment that include infotainment with LCD, multi-zone climate control, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, dynamic drive mode, Virtual cockpit system, PEA system, etc.

The 2017 Audi Q7 e-tron TDI will get 3.0 liters V-6 TDI engine along with a 94 kW electric motor that will produce an output of 373 HP and 516 lb-ft. There is a possibility that it might also get 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged engine although it is just a rumor for now. The car will have an eight-speed automatic transmission along with AWD option that will help it to go from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds, and while in EV mode it will reach 0 to 37 mph in 6.1 seconds. The mileage of this car is still unknown but according to some rumors, the 17.3 kW lithium-ion battery will help it to deliver a mileage of 25 to 35 mpg.

The 2017 Audi Q7 e-tron TDI will hit the market by the end of 2017 or in the early month of 2018. The base price of this model will start from $54,000 while the top model will cost around $64,000. Volvo XC 90 T8 Twin Turbo will be its arch rival in the market, but Q7 will also face intense competition from models like Mercedes-Benz GLS Class, Acura MDX, and Land Rover LR4.
