2017 Cadillac Escalade Review, Engine and Transmission

Originally launched in 1999, the new 2017 Cadillac Escalade will ‘hit’ the automotive market with a number of modifications, in order to look much different from the previous version. Although it will keep the Cadillac trademark design, the car will undergo some improvements, in order to increase its high performance and look more modern and attractive.

2017 Cadillac Escalade – External Body and Interior Parts:

Robust, masculine and powerful, the new 2017 Cadillac Escalade will have a redesigned grille, with new and larger air intakes, that will give the car a more powerful look. The new Escalade will be made out of lightweight materials, as to increase the speed and improve its fuel efficiency. It will also be equipped with LED front lights, automatic wipers, telescoping wheel and power folding system. The back area of the car will also undergo a number of modifications, including sleeker and more attractive tail lights, and a dual exhaust system for high performance and sporty style. In addition, the new 2017 Cadillac Escalade will ride on 20-inch chrome wheels.

The cabin will be spacious and luxury and will be equipped with two rows of seats. It will be able to accommodate up to 7 passengers, with enough room for the legs of the passengers. Moreover, the interior will be covered with leather furnishings and premium upholstery for seats, head seats and steering wheel. The car will also be equipped with modern and technologically oriented features and connectivity options, as wireless Bluetooth, five USB ports, 4G LTE connectivity and wi-fi. As for safety features, the new 2017 Cadillac Escalade will be offered with a rear view camera, air bags, cameras and car parking sensors, in order to help the driver. For entertainment options, this model will come to the market with surround audio system, satellite radio and Bose 16 speaker stereo. As for safety features, the new car will offer anti-lock disc brakes, side airbags, rear view digital video camera, GPS system, as well as a stability control system.

The new SUV will be powered by two engine options. The first one will feature a 6.2 liter V8 gas engine, that will be able to generate 420 hp and 485 lb-ft of maximum torque. This engine option will be paired with a 6 or 8 speed auto transmission system and will have the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds. The sport version of the car will feature a 3.6 liter twin turbocharged V6 engine, that will also be able to produce 420 hp and will be able to give around 485 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be combined with a new 9-speed automatic transmission system. The fuel consumption of the new 2017 Cadillac Escalade is expected to be low.

The automotive company has not yet revealed the official release date of the new SUV, but is anticipated to be available in the market by the end this year. Its price will be approximately $73,000. In addition, its main competitors when it will ‘hit’ the automotive market are going to be: Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Navara and Toyota Hilux.
